AND OUR NON PROFITS
Community Comes Together

One team. One community.
A whole lot of support.

Has anybody felt a slight evening chill in the air lately? Yep, while the days are still nice this time of year, the weather will be turning soon enough and there will be people visiting the pantry who will be needing firewood.
There have been some wonderfully generous "wood elves" at work this summer delivering logs to the site, so there is a decent supply of wood to start off the season. ("Thank you!" all you wood elves!)
So, we'll start things rolling again with a cutting and splitting session on Saturday, from 8am until noon. Come for any amount of time you can lend a hand, whether that's an hour or the morning. Bring your gear (gloves, ear plugs, safety glasses, boots or sturdy shoes, sunscreen, water, chainsaw, wheelbarrow, rake, etc.) and gather together with some wonderfully dedicated people helping others in our community. I will be out of town that day, but there will be others there who are familiar with the routine.
As always, we would be interested in hearing about:
-- Sources of wood identified as candidates for collection and/or delivery (we can supply donation forms for tax purposes to those who would like them)
-- People willing to fetch and deliver wood to the Woodpile site
-- People willing to communicate, coordinate and connect the above sources and fetchers
-- Ways to make the woodpile more effective
-- Ways reach out to encourage more people to be helpers at the woodpile
If you're willing to be a helper on any of the above, please let me know.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or any sources of firewood you might know about.
Thanks,
-Dave Bauer

We'll be closed for a little while as we make updates and get everything cleaned up, but we can't wait to welcome you soon. Stop by if you see us as we want to get to know our community more than we do now!
Follow our new page for updates, sneak peeks, and opening details!— with Jamie Addison and Jon Addison.
